PERGAN Marshall, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of its Commercial Leadership team for the North American Organic Peroxide business and assets recently acquired from Chemtura Corporation.

Christopher Bond has been appointed Commercial Director, N.A. In this role Chris will be responsible for developing and executing a regional customer focused business strategy, for which PERGAN GMBH is known throughout other parts of the world. Chris brings over 15 years prior experience in sales and marketing leadership positions in Plastics and Plastic Additives markets to his new role.

Timothy Bailey has been appointed Sales Manager, FRP for North America. Tim will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities in North America for Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics and Thermosets. Tim brings over 15 years experience in Chemical, Additives and Distribution sales experience, with a recent emphasis on sales and service to the FRP market.

Gregory Schramm has been appointed Sales Manager, Polymers for North America. In this role Greg will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the Thermoplastics and Crosslinking markets in North America. Greg brings over 10 years experience in Chemical and Additive sales experience, with a recent emphasis on additives sales to the Polymers market.

Pergan Marshall, LLC will continue to operate the production assets in Marshall, TX acquired from Chemtura Corporation in August of 2007 and market products under the recognized trade names of Hi-Point, Quickset, Esperox and Espercarb. Trade names for all but the Ketone Peroxides will be consolidated over the balance of 2008 to the Pergan Group trade names of Peroxan, Pergaprop and Pergacross. This will facilitate optimization of our Global Supply Chain amongst four production facilities in Europe, China and North America.

Organic Peroxide price increase at PERGAN MARSHALL, LLC
Effective February 1, 2008 or as contract terms permit, PERGAN Marshall, LLC will implement a price increase for all Organic Peroxide product families as follows:
Ketone Peroxides $ 0.08/lb
Diacyl Peroxides 10%
Dialkyl Peroxides 10%
Hydroperoxides 10%
Monoperoxycarbonates 10%
Peroxydicarbonates 10%
Peroxyesters 10%
Peroxyketals 10%

PERGAN Marshall continues to experience ongoing inflation in raw materials, energy and transportation costs. New production facility in Marshall, Texas
PERGAN has purchased Chemtura Corporation's organic peroxides business and the Marshall, Texas manufacturing facility in an all-cash transaction for an undisclosed amount. All of the 40 employees at the Marshall facility will transfer to PERGAN MARSHALL LLC.

PERGAN has signed an asset purchase agreement to buy the organic peroxides business from Chemtura Corporation in an all-cash transaction for an undisclosed amount.
Included in the transaction will be Chemtura's Marshall, Texas organic peroxides manufacturing facility. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close within 90 days.
PERGAN already operates organic peroxide facilities in Germany and China and will gain a position in the North American market through this acquisition.

PERGAN Fine Chemicals (Tianjin) Co., LTD recently received ISO 9001:2000 certification. The new facility in Tinajin's Xiqing District has come on stream in 2004. PERGAN Fine Chemicals (Tianjin) Co., LTD is manufacturing organic peroxides for use in the polymer producing industries.

K 2004 - plastics and rubber fair in Dusseldorf
With a record high of 231,000 visitors, K 2004 - the world's largest plastics and rubber fair - closed doors last week in Dusseldorf. PERGAN received 75% visitors from outside Germany, in total an increase of plus 68% visitors as in comparison to K 2001. K 2004 brought a number of quality trade visitors from India, CIS, South Africa, Australia, and South Korea. With continued strong growth and investment prospects in place in these regions, PERGAN sourced a number of new opportunities for business expansion which may compensate for a weak European economy.
